Services - Group Drumming

Looking for a creative new ice-breaker, teambuilding or energiser activity?  Motivate your audience with a high impact group drumming workshop. It can be one of the most fulfilling group based activities to engage, energise and motivate your audience and explore team dynamics.

It works so well because everyone can participate. As rhythm is innate in all of us, through the process of “entrainment”, individuals will naturally synchronise with a beat or pulse. It is a very powerful experience connecting into the high energy rhythms and knowing when to start, when to stop, when to speed up or to slow down, and synchronising with collegues almost instantaneously.

Above all else, music making is fun! It can be created in the moment and shared by an entire group of people at the same time. The group drumming experience will leave participants feeling more energised, connected, uplifted and relaxed!

What is involved?

Group drumming also invites the opportunity to experience collaboration in a very different way. It requires all elements of being - physical, emotional, mental and spiritual to fuse and flow. Beyond serving as a quality teambuilding exercise it is also great fun & provides an excellent metaphor for quality teamwork.

The group drumming experience will leave participants feeling more energised, connected, uplifted and relaxed!

Groups are led on a fun and exciting musical journey that demonstrates how participants can begin to work harmoniously together, almost instantaneously, as well as participating in a diverse range of rhythmic activities designed to meet target outcomes. We use powerfully simple rhythms and high energy body percussion / drumming activities to connect people within minutes.

Outcomes that can be achieved through Group Drumming

Corporate Drumming Programs can be tailored to focus on specific outcomes, for example:

  • As a fun and engaging ice-breaker that will help open up communications and build relationships

  • As an activity to generate energy and engagement within a group or team process

  • As a team building activity or to create a stronger sense of “community”

  • To “set the tone” of a workshop and motivate participants to work together

  • Facilitating “flow” – drumming serves as a perfect metaphor for exploring the principles of FLOW

  • Working with “presence” and being fully engaged in the NOW

  • Aligning teams to a successful group process – drumming can bring people together from diverse backgrounds and promote a lasting sense of group synergy, cooperation and accomplishment

  • Energising participants - the high-energy rhythms created in a group drumming session can be the perfect complement to the mentally intensive content in a corporate workshop

  • Creating “meaningful” outcomes (spontaneously) together

  • Just for FUN!

Team Building - Group Synergy - Cooperation

"Drumming as a team building event was fabulous!! Janine and the team did an A1 job in getting the team in the 'rhythm' and engaged.  I was very impressed with the number of freely offered comments of how much the event was enjoyed. Feedback was consistent from managers and team members alike. The great aspect of drumming as a team building event is that it can be done on site which is convenient and cost efficient.  It also allowed us to use an element of surprise where the team only become aware of the event as they walked into the room. I highly recommend Janine and team drumming. Smiles all-round and an infectious rhythm that got everyone involved was proof in the pudding for me."
